Dog Licenses

All dogs over the age of three (3) months that reside within the city must be licensed and have the license tag affixed to their collar at all times. Licenses are effective June 1 through May 31. All dog licenses are half price during the month of May.

Cat Licenses

Cats that reside within the city are not required to be licensed, but licenses are available if desired or if required by a landlord.

  • Veterinarian Clinic - Check with your Veterinarian to see if they sell licenses.

Quarantine $155 per animal
Euthanasia $35 per animal
Violation $30 for first-time violation
$60 for second violation in same year
Impoundment $13 per day
Microchip implants (includes registration) $22.50 per animal
