[ARCHIVED] Marshall Public Library to Host Family Build It Night

Things will be electric at this month’s Family Build It Night hosted by the Marshall Public Library.

Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. at the library, builders will be delving into the world of paper circuits. These circuits use a few items to create a working electrical circuit.

“All you need is a small battery, some copper foil tape, and a couple LED lights,” said Kath Ann Hendricks, Young Adult Librarian at the Marshall Public Library. “We’ll be taking those pieces and adding a few Halloween themed ones to create our very own circuit. These simple electrical devices are a remarkable way to teach beginning electrical theory.”

Previous editions of Family Build It Night have seen families experiment with stop-motion animation and robotics. For more information on the Family Build It Night or the other programs at the Marshall Public Library, contact Kath Ann at or 232-1263.
