For the next month, the City of Pocatello Street Operations Department will be completing an ADA compliant curb ramp project on the sidewalks in the vicinity of City Hall. Workers will install a total of five ramps starting with the south entrance to City Hall’s parking lot. During construction, access at the entrances will be limited to accommodate workers in the area. “Ultimately, these ramps will make travel safer for all pedestrian traffic in this area,” said Jeff Mansfield, Project Manager for the City of Pocatello. The project is scheduled to be completed by mid-November. The total cost of the project is approximately $30,000 and is primarily funded by a grant through the Idaho Transportation Department. In the event of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances, work may be postponed or rescheduled. The public’s understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated.
