Pocatello Regional Transit (PRT) along with the Southeast Idaho Council of Governments (SICOG) and the Bannock Transportation Planning Organization are hosting the second public meeting on the future of PRT service in Pocatello. The open house meeting will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Pocatello City Council Chambers at 911 North 7th Avenue. Right now, PRT is considering reducing the number of local fixed route services in the Pocatello-Chubbuck area from seven core routes to five. Originally, the meeting was to be held at the SICOG offices in Pocatello. “We received a lot of great feedback at our last meeting in September,” said Dave Hunt, Pocatello Regional Transit Director. “The members of the public who were able to attend gave us plenty of ideas and things to look into. We’d like to keep this conversation going.” Officials will also take public comment via email and mail until November 16, 2015. Comments can be sent to prt@pocatello.us or mailed to City of Pocatello Public Transit Department, P.O. Box 4169, Pocatello, ID 83205. City Hall and the Council Chambers are accessible to persons with disabilities. Interpreters for persons with hearing impairments and/or taped information for persons with visual impairments can be provided upon three (3) days’ notice.
