Pocatello Mayor Brian Blad announced today that Pocatello Community Charter School (PCCS) student Reilly Bollar will join the City of Pocatello Friday, October 16, 2015 as “Mayor for a Day.”
Reilly and Mayor Blad will be meeting with staff and touring City facilities. “We will also be attending the Idaho Air National Guard’s ceremony to dedicate the ‘Pride of Chubbuck’ aircraft,” said Mayor Blad. “The ‘Pride of Pocatello’ was dedicated earlier this year and will be on display as well.”
Reilly will return to school shortly after 1 p.m.
PCCS chose Reilly, an 8th grader, to represent their school as she exhibits good leadership, has a calm demeanor and is an overall great student. She participates in SALT and was part of the leadership team that spent seven days in the Tetons.
“I’m looking forward to having Reilly join us this week,” said the Mayor. “I think the Mayor for a Day program is a great opportunity for the youth but also for the City.”
