Saturday, June 24, 2017 may be more than 600 days away but that’s not stopping those in charge of planning SkyFest 2017 from getting started.
Earlier this week, members of Pocatello Regional Airport’s SkyFest Planning Committee met for the first time to begin work on outlining a vision for the celebration of aviation.
“2017 is a very, very special year for the Pocatello Regional Airport,” said Airport Manager and Planning Committee Chair David Allen. “It marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of an air base in Pocatello.”
Tentatively, the group is looking to have an airshow, history displays, helicopter and plane rides, and activities for the whole family at the event.
“We are looking to celebrate the airport’s rich military history and tradition here in Pocatello,” Allen said.
