Pocatello Mayor Brian Blad and City Clerk Ruth Whitworth are now in some elite company.
The pair has are two of the nominees for the Southeast Idaho Business & Achievement Awards. Whitworth has been nominated for her outstanding service in the public service/government category while Mayor Blad is nominated in the Hall of Fame category. The awards also recognize leaders in the fields of industry, education, and non-profit.
“It’s an honor to just be nominated,” Whitworth said, “and I humbled to even be considered among the great people on this list.”
Mayor Blad adds, “There are so many amazing people doing remarkable work here in East Idaho. I’m very appreciative of the fact that I’m included with these people.”
Finalists will be selected at the awards ceremony Wednesday October 28, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at the Stephens Performing Arts Center.
