The Pocatello Animal Shelter is adjusting its hours of operation Saturday, October 3, 2015.
The shelter will be open from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. to allow staff and volunteers the chance to participate and help put on the 18th annual Run with the Big Dogs.
Registration for the 2K walk, 5K walk, and 5K run is open until the day of the race and costs $35. Participants will get a t-shirt for the human, bandana for the dog, and a doggy bag full of goodies (while supplies last).
“Grab your four-legged friend and come get a little exercise while helping support the adoption programs at the shelter,” said Mary Remer, Animal Services Director for the City of Pocatello.
Monday, October 5 the shelter will return to normal operating hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. The shelter is closed Sundays.
