If you’re looking to dive into your family’s past, the Marshall Public Library has a new tool to help.
Recently, the library added two Family History Kits to its collection. The assortment of tools includes games, writing prompts for memories, templates for recording family stories and more to assist amateur and professional genealogists explore their family tree.
“The kits give families a fun opportunity to get know themselves and their relatives better,” said Becky Mitton, Librarian. “For example, if you have a beloved family recipe, the kit will walk you through preserving it as well as what questions to ask to figure out the story behind the recipe.”
Kits are available for checkout for two weeks.
