If you ask Mary Remer, Animal Services Director for the City of Pocatello, she’ll tell you the animal shelter now “looks as beautiful outside as it does inside” thanks to a grant from the Ifft Foundation. Recently, the group, along with the Idaho Community Foundation, awarded Pocatello Animal Services $10,000 to help with landscaping for the new shelter. The money helped pay for new sod, plants, the sprinkler system, sidewalks, and curbing. It’s a gift that Remer is calling a blessing. “We are so thankful for the help from the Ifft Foundation,” Remer said. “The project has completely changed the upper Ross Park area and made it so much more attractive to anyone who visits the shelter or any of the other facilities located here.” For more information on the shelter or Pocatello Animal Services, visit http://pocatello.us/150/Animal-Services
