Photo Gallery: Ribbon Cutting and Check Presentation at Pocatello Skate Park

The Pocatello Skate Park looks great! A big thank you to everyone who came out Wednesday for the ribbon-cutting and check presentation. This project could not have been completed without the help of some key community members. Thank you to Gilgen's Asphalt Maintenance for donating their services to seal the existing asphalt, Southeast Idaho Skatepark Association - Skate Idaho contributed $1,000, joined by Mayor Blad who donated an additional $1,000 from the Blue Cross of Idaho Foundation Mayor's Walking Challenge. Lookout Credit Union generously matched the Mayor's contribution of $1,000, Pete and Rhonda Black also made a gracious contribution, and the Parks Department covered the remaining $2,000.

New ramp surfacing will be completed in the next few weeks with the Skate Park Association doing the majority of the work. A big shout out to our Parks crew, they removed the chain link fence and have completed a bunch of welding at the park.
