Five Facts About Recycling

FIVE Facts About Recycling: 

1. Recycling 100 aluminum cans saves enough energy to power a light bulb for two weeks. 

2. Recycling one ton of paper is equivalent to saving 17 trees and up to three cubic yards of landfill space. 

3. Producing one ton of recycled paper uses 64% less energy and 58% less water than making new paper. 

4. A single recycled plastic bottle saves enough energy to run a 100-watt bulb for four hours. 

5. Recycling one aluminum can saves enough energy to run a TV for three hours.
