We're facing an uncertain future. The stories that hold our memories, the stories that are the foundations of our community, need help. You can help us through your generosity. Because you're not only saving a place, you're saving a piece of your history. The Historic Preservation Commission is working to raise the money needed for our historic preservation efforts. If you are interested in helping us raise funds to save our community’s history, please read on.
Educate Yourself and Others on Our History

One of the most important things our community can do to preserve history, is to educate ourselves on it. It is the first step of any effort, and involves small actions like reading our article posts and viewing and engaging with our HPC social media posts. Once we are aware of the problems and efforts that are currently affecting our history, we can see which problems we want to tackle, and how we can help.
Donate

The next vital part of preserving history is getting funds to support the renovation and preservation of historic sites. This step is truly a community effort. Every donation is one small step towards our goal, and with a community behind the donations, we can make strides.
Share Our Posts

Another way to help with the preservation effort is to share our posts. These include social media posts, videos, and articles put out by the City and the HPC. The sharing of our posts takes a small amount of time, but can contribute greatly to the awareness in our community.
Own A Business? Post Our Flyers!

Getting the word out isn’t just digital. If you own a business or know of someone who does, you can support preservation by printing and posting our flyers at your physical location. This would be a tremendous help with the awareness of this cause.
Attend HPC Events

The HPC hosts events several times a year, like the Brady Chapel open house. In these events, community members get an opportunity to see and learn about our community’s history first hand. These events are staffed by historically knowledgeable volunteers that can tell you amazing stories about the past.
Any and all contributions matter. It doesn’t have to be in the form of money, you can do your part by simply helping spread the word or by educating others. This cause is a noble one, and it isn’t just for us, but for the enjoyment and education of future generations to come.
