Yard Waste Program
The Sanitation Department, in partnership with the Bannock County Landfill, operates a yard waste-only composting program each year beginning the first full week in April and continuing through the last full week of November.
Cost See our Utility Rates. Lost or intentionally damaged carts will be assessed a cart replacement fee.

Optional Services
One-time additional pickups may be requested for a fee per cart per pickup. Additional pickups must be requested by 10:00 a.m. for same-day service.
Contaminated carts may be requested for one-time additional pickup for a fee per cart per pickup.
Cart cleaning may be requested for $20.00 per cart.
Collection Schedule Yard waste carts are collected once per week, beginning the first full week of April through the last full week of November on the same day as garbage collection. Place carts out on the curb no earlier than 6:00 p.m. the day before and no later than 7:00 a.m. on collection day to ensure collection.

What You Need to Know
The Yard Waste Program…
Is available the first full week of April through the last full week of November.
Is a curbside weekly pick-up service on the same day as garbage collection.
Provides a 96-gallon green autocart with a brown lid.
Is voluntary and can be requested by calling the Sanitation Department.
Service is provided April through November and billed through the City of Pocatello utility bill.
